Main duties and responsibilities
- Gather, document and validate business and technical requirements from internal stakeholders and clients, translating operational needs into clear functional specifications for IT solution delivery.
- Analyse existing business processes and data flows using SQL to extract, interrogate and interpret data from multiple source systems, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) to present analysis and KPIs to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
- Support and contribute to ETL processes, working with technical teams to ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed and loaded, and that data integrity and security standards are maintained.
- Liaise with development and infrastructure teams to validate that proposed technical solutions align with business requirements, escalating gaps or risks as they arise.
- Assist in estimating effort, cost and timescales for new functionality or system changes, and support project planning and prioritisation discussions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot application and system issues raised by the business, working through to resolution or escalating to the appropriate technical specialist.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation of business requirements, process changes, system configurations and change requests to support transparency and audit trail.
- Conduct quality reviews of delivered solutions against agreed business requirements prior to sign-off.
- Support the evaluation of AI-enabled tools and infrastructure (in line with Greentrend's service offering), assessing practical applications for client reporting and process automation.
Essential skills/experience (person specification)
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a business analytics, computing or related technical discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in SQL, data analysis and ETL processes.
- Practical experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI and/or Tableau).
- Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills, with experience translating business needs into technical specifications.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
