An exciting opportunity has arisen at Frimley Park Hospital for a Band 8A Education and Training Lead Pharmacist.
We are seeking a friendly, supportive and motivated pharmacist passionate about education and staff development.
This highly rewarding role focuses on front-line training and offers the chance to make a real impact.
You will lead the design and delivery of training for Trainee Pharmacists, oversee university placements, and work with external partners to ensure excellent learning experiences.
You will also contribute to evolving pharmacy training programmes and support education for the wider healthcare team.
The role involves collaboration with colleagues across Frimley Park and Wexham Park sites to deliver innovative and effective training strategies. Some cross-site travel is required.
Frimley Park Hospital Pharmacy—known as the “Frimley Family”—is a diverse, friendly and supportive team dedicated to delivering excellent patient care.
The post holder will lead and manage Trainee Pharmacists, develop undergraduate training opportunities and contribute to teaching across the multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
Working within a dynamic clinical environment, they will be supported by the Principal Education and Training Pharmacist to enhance their own teaching and leadership skills.
The role also includes responsibility for an acute clinical area, providing direct clinical pharmacy services to maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure training reflects real practice.
Participation in weekend, late-night and bank holiday rotas is required, with strong team support and commitment to work-life balance.
