Riva South Ltd is looking for a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our pallet network operation in Southampton.
This is a hands-on, local delivery role covering Southampton and the surrounding SO postcode areas, delivering and collecting palletised freight for a wide range of customers.
If you're an experienced Class 2 driver looking for regular local work, a stable Monday–Friday role and to be home every night, we'd like to hear from you.

The role
Your typical day will involve delivering and collecting palletised freight throughout Southampton and the surrounding areas.
You'll be responsible for:
- Driving a HGV Class 2 rigid curtain-side vehicle safely and responsibly
- Completing approximately 12–16 deliveries/collections per day
- Loading and unloading palletised freight using a tail lift and pump truck
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Using a handheld device to obtain electronic signatures and complete deliveries
- Managing your route efficiently and meeting timed deliveries where required
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Maintaining good communication with the transport office and yard
- Ensuring all paperwork and delivery information is completed accurately
What we're looking for
- Valid Class 2 (C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Tachograph card
- Good driving record — ideally no more than 6 points
- A professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy day's workload
- Previous multi-drop or pallet network experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
