Danny’s Event Catering is recruiting a time-served, experienced Chef to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef, with an eye for creativity and detail. You will be expected to be driven in delivering excellence in both food and service.
You will be primarily supporting our catering operation at one of our client’s sites on the outskirts of Paisley, Glasgow. You will be required to work on other sites too, depending on the needs of the business, therefore a driving licence is essential.

You will bring:
- Professional catering experience ESSENTIAL, preferably in contract catering.
- Experience leading a client-facing kitchen.
- Strong budget management and computer literacy.
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent chef qualifications.
- Food Safety Level 2 or above.
- A proven ability to perform under pressure with excellent time management.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach.
- Flexibility, decisiveness, and the ability to inspire others.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu planning and development.
- Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity.
- Stock Management.
- Client liaison - everything is done in conjunction with the client, with input from a nutritionist.
- Menu costing and cost control.
- Delivering KPI-led results.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Ensuring compliance for all areas - not limited to food safety and health and safety
- Working collaboratively with the wider catering team.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the business as required.
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes during service hours
- Develop and refine recipes to enhance menu offerings and accommodate special dietary requirements
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through efficient practices.
Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
