Class 1 Night Trunk Driver – Palletline Whitehead
Location: Croydon
Salary: £42,000 per annum + Overtime Opportunities
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Nights (Start time on a 3-week rotation 4pm, 6pm, 6.30pm)

Your Role:
As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you’ll be responsible for nightly trunking on rotation between Birmingham, Coventry and West London hubs. Duties include live tipping/loading and ensuring punctual connections — freight volumes may vary, so flexibility is key. The 3 week rotation also provides some variance in the trunking role instead of the same hub every week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and secure freight (strapping, etc.)
- Complete daily vehicle checks
- Maintain safe, efficient driving practices
- Communicate clearly with the team and hubs
- Represent Palletline professionally on the road and at hubs
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Class 1 (C+E) driver
- Strong understanding of Tachograph and WTD regulations
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Valid DCPC and UK driving licence
