About the Role
MAK Integrated Technologies is looking to appoint a Technical Operations Manager to support the continued growth of our engineering operation.
This is a senior hybrid position combining hands-on engineering with technical and operational management.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Managing Director and take responsibility for the technical delivery of works across the business, supporting engineers, overseeing standards and ensuring projects and service works are delivered efficiently.
Initially, we expect the role to remain approximately 60% chargeable/hands-on. This will include commissioning, complex fault finding, technical surveys, project engineering and supporting difficult installations.
The remaining time will be focused on managing and improving the engineering operation.
As the company grows, we expect the management element of the position to increase.

- Act as the primary technical escalation point for engineers.
- Provide technical support across live projects, service works and fault calls.
- Review upcoming works and ensure engineers have the correct information, equipment and technical understanding before attending.
- Assist with allocating engineering resources across projects, small works and service activities.
- Monitor project progress and identify technical or labour issues before they affect delivery.
- Take ownership of complex technical issues through to resolution.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors and manufacturers where required.
- Develop and maintain practical engineering procedures and standards.
