We are seeking a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our caring and inclusive team from September 2026.
Working alongside our Nurture Teacher, you will support children in Key Stage 1 within our established Nurture Hub, The Nest. You will play a vital role in helping children develop the confidence, emotional resilience and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
The Nest provides a safe, nurturing environment for children experiencing social, emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. The children you support may present with anxiety, difficulties managing their emotions, attachment needs, challenging behaviour, mental health difficulties or SEND. Your role will be to build trusting relationships, model positive interactions and help children successfully access learning through a nurturing, play-based approach.
As part of our dedicated Inclusion Team, you will work with individuals and small groups, delivering targeted interventions and supporting children to develop their emotional literacy, communication skills, self-regulation and resilience. Experience of emotional wellbeing programmes, such as ELSA, Thrive or similar interventions, would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who:
- has experience of working with primary-aged children
- is calm, caring and able to build positive, trusting relationships
- understands the importance of supporting children's emotional wellbeing alongside their learning
- has high expectations whilst showing empathy, patience and consistency
- can work effectively as part of a team as well as using their own initiative
- has excellent communication skills and enjoys working in partnership with families and professionals
- has experience of supporting children with SEND, SEMH or emotional needs (desirable)
- has knowledge of ELSA, nurture or trauma-informed approaches (desirable)
