Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our small team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse environment. Your energetic approach will help maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity as you support various warehouse functions. The applicant will need a clean driving license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and be aged over 25 (for Insurance purposes) as stock will need to be moved from one location to another in Newton Abbot area
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and move materials using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Use basic systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and ensure accurate data entry
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch with attention to detail and quality standards
- Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently to optimize space utilization and accessibility
- Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items and report issues promptly
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Be able to move stock from one warehouse to another, based in Newton Abbot, using a Company van.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or similar logistics setting is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse stock control
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and standing for extended periods
- Clean driving license with minimum 3 years full license and aged 25 plus (for Insurance purposes)
- Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently
Pay: £10,920.00 per year
