Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 1.30pm (32 academic weeks)

Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs?. We are seeking a School Office Administrator with the combined responsibility of being our Specialist SEN Administrator. We are an Independent Specialist SEN School with an inclusive community that is sensitive to the individual needs of our learners. We hold the highest aspirations for each student and give them the support they need to thrive.
We’re looking for someone that ideally has;
Strong administration experience, ideally from within an education or SEN setting. Is confident using MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, ISAMS, Arbor) and Microsoft Office. You will understand the importance of confidentiality and compliance within an educational SEN environment. You will need to be proactive, organised, and passionate about making a difference. A flexible and positive approach is a must.
Key Responsibilities (combined role)
School Administration
Welcoming all visitors to the campus and being the main point of contact for phone calls and emails. Responsible for the majority of school communications, including the office inbox, organising trips and school events such as parents’ evenings. Producing reports as required and monitoring of systems including SIMS (registration), Studybugs (attendance) and Parentmail (communications).
Monitoring and compliance of all student medication. Liaising with internal departments to always report issues such as IT. Upholding safeguarding procedures. Playing an active part in school life including student supervision duties.
Some ad hoc work will also be involved such as internal communications, updating the staff room noticeboard and supporting SLT with projects as directed.
SEN Administration
Manage appropriate SEN resources to ensure they are used effectively. Work under the direction of the SEN Office Manager (based at our Yateley campus) to deliver key administration support to the SENDCo team, ensuring smooth operation of the school’s annual review processes for both EHCP and non-EHCP students. High volume of meeting’s including taking accurate minutes.
Communicating with all stakeholders as required in a professional manner, exercising discretion and professional confidentiality. Support with SEN related correspondence including dealing with outside agencies, families and school staff. Use the school’s systems to input and retrieve information required to support EHCP reviews, undertaking training as required. Ensure SEN files are stored accurately using Sharepoint.
