Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your mechanical knowledge and excellent communication skills will ensure smooth deliveries, proper vehicle maintenance, and exceptional customer service. Duties
- Safely operate Class 2 commercial vehicles for daily delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reports
- Assist with minor repairs or mechanical troubleshooting as needed using your mechanical knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies throughout your shift
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with 1 driver experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear interactions with team members and customers
- Demonstrated ability to handle physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo safely
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and best practices in commercial driving
- Previous delivery experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
