Conveyancing Paralegal
About the Role

We are excited to welcome a Conveyancing Paralegal / Fee Earner to join our dedicated conveyancing team in Brighton, East Sussex. Working under the guidance of our Head of Conveyancing, you will manage your own residential conveyancing files with an appropriate level of supervision and support colleagues on more complex or high-value transactions.
Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters; progressing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases; handling remortgages and transfers of equity; liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties; maintaining accurate matter records; and assisting fee earners with complex transactions when required.
You will work in a structured and collaborative environment with strong administrative support, allowing you to focus on progressing matters, delivering excellent client service and developing your technical skills.

About You
Right from the start, you will take responsibility for your own files and play an important part in the client journey. You will combine sound technical knowledge with clear communication, careful organisation and a practical approach to progressing matters.
This role is suitable for those who:
- Already have practical experience in residential conveyancing, or who have had experience as a legal assistant in other areas
- Have a working knowledge of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Are confident managing files with an appropriate level of supervision
- Are organised and able to prioritise a busy caseload
- Have a keen eye for detail and maintain accurate records
- Feel comfortable liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other third parties
- Can work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Are proactive and able to identify and resolve issues
- Can work independently and as part of a wider team
- Communicate clearly and place clients first
Role Requirements
Prior working legal experience is necessary. You must be willing and able to manage your own files with an appropriate level of supervision and have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams). Experience of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity is advantageous.
