Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital - Bromley (London)
Hours: Full-Time - 5 Days per Week (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Rate: Competitive Locum Rates (DOE)
Essential Requirements:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent).
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Previous experience working within inpatient mental health settings.
- Experience working with complex mental health presentations.
- Strong formulation, assessment, and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients presenting with complex mental health conditions.
- Develop psychological formulations to inform individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions on an individual and group basis.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Support Workers.
- Provide psychological consultation and support to ward staff to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Contribute to risk assessments and risk management planning.
- Participate in MDT meetings, ward rounds, CPA reviews, and discharge planning processes.
- Support the development and delivery of psychologically informed care across the service.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Provide supervision and guidance where appropriate to Assistant Psychologists and other healthcare professionals.
