We're a small independent retail business with sites across Leeds, Hull and Bradford. As we head into our busiest trading period, we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to keep our stores running smoothly, our teams supported, and our standards high.
This is a hands-on, part-time role for someone who genuinely enjoys retail and wants to be part of a close-knit, independent team. You'll split your time between visiting our three/four sites and working from home, with the flexibility to manage your own schedule around the needs of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Weekly site visits to Leeds, Hull and Bradford (possibly Sheffield)
- Building and managing staff rotas
- Managing staff holidays, sickness and performance
- Recruitment support
- Stock replenishment and ordering
- Maintaining visual merchandising standards to a high standard
- Reporting to the wider team/management
- Providing phone cover and support to store staff as and when needed, including outside of your core working hours
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Motivated and comfortable working independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Knowledgeable about and genuinely passionate about retail
- Excited to get involved with a small, independent team and make the role their own
- Highly detail-oriented, with a "right first time" approach
- Able to use their own initiative and stay self-motivated, especially when working from home or across multiple sites
- Comfortable being contactable by phone to support staff outside of scheduled site-visit hours
Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role is essential. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required, as this role involves regular travel between our Leeds, Hull and Bradford sites.
Pay: £22.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Leeds LS1
