James Oliver Conservatories is a family run home improvement business based in Lincoln. We specialise in high quality conservatories, bespoke extensions, windows, doors, and a wide range of interior products. Our Lincoln showroom also displays furniture, lighting, fireplaces, and other home interior essentials.
We are looking for a practical, reliable Delivery Driver / Labourer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work who is comfortable with driving, manual handling, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Most of our customers are based within around one hour of Lincoln.
Hours and Pay
This is a part-time role, typically 3 days per week as required, working around 07:30–16:30.
Days and hours can be flexible and negotiable. Additional hours may also be available for holiday cover and busy periods.
Starting pay is £12.71 per hour during an initial trial period, rising to £13.21 per hour, paid weekly.
About the Role
We build conservatories and extensions, fit windows and doors, and sell and deliver furniture, including sofas and dining sets.
The role will involve working with our team to:
Offload deliveries at our yard and on site
Deliver goods and materials to sites
Clear old materials from sites
Deliver and erect furniture to customers homes
Support site teams where required
Keep vehicles, goods, and work areas tidy and organised
Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers
The Right Person
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable, punctual, and flexible
Comfortable with hard physical work
Happy working outdoors in all weather
Polite and professional with customers
Able to work well as part of a team
Careful and respectful of customers homes
Confident driving vans or similar vehicles
A full UK driving licence is required.
Experience in deliveries, labouring, construction, removals, furniture delivery, or a similar practical role would be helpful, but the right attitude is most important.
