Warehouse Assistant

The Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for receiving, checking, processing, and dispatching pharmaceutical products while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the warehouse operation.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across production and quality departments to ensure stock is managed effectively and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In
- Receive incoming pharmaceutical stock and deliveries.
- Check quantities, batch numbers, strengths, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and report discrepancies.
- Communicate any issues with customers or internal departments.
- Accurately input stock data into company systems.
Stock Control & Batching
- Perform 100% stock count checks against supplied paperwork.
- Complete warehouse logs and records accurately.
- Pick stock and consumables according to job requirements.
- Use internal systems to locate and manage stock.
- Move stock safely using pallet trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Dispose of waste in the correct recycling areas.
Goods Out
- Verify outgoing stock quantities and documentation.
- Prepare packing lists and dispatch paperwork.
- Label and photograph completed pallets.
- Ensure stock is correctly released and processed through internal systems.
- Support invoicing processes by passing completed documentation to Accounts.
- File completed job records accurately.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and banding machines.

- GCSE-level education or equivalent.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work to deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
