About the Role
Active8 Minds West Sussex is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and energetic Holiday Club Assistant to help deliver our exciting holiday club programme. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the club, helping to create a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment where children can learn, play and make lasting memories.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of a variety of sports, games, arts, crafts and enrichment activities.
- Support children in participating fully and safely in all activities.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all children.
- Follow all safeguarding, health & safety and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and resources.
- Support with registration, snack times and general supervision throughout the day.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Encourage positive behaviour and act as a positive role model at all times.
- Report any concerns, incidents or safeguarding issues to the Club Manager promptly.
- Represent Active8 Minds professionally and positively at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Enthusiasm for working with children.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
- Ability to engage and interact with children of different ages and abilities.
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, sports coaching or holiday club setting.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Relevant childcare, teaching, sports coaching or playwork qualification.
