Cabot Highlands
Located in Inverness, Scotland, Cabot Highlands is surrounded by the breathtaking Scottish Highlands and features a rugged landscape that hugs the Moray Firth shoreline. This 420-acre Cabot property is home to the renowned 18-hole Castle Stuart Golf Links, named among the world’s top 100 courses.
Position Overview
In this front-line role, you will be part of a small but dedicated team who ensure a personalised, warm, and efficient food and beverage service is provided to our guests the Cabot Way.
NOTE: Immediate start - Temporary position for 3 months. Must be able to commute to property which is off the public transport route.
This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship and is not live in.
Core Responsibilities and Competencies
- Ensure that service runs smoothly, and any guest issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Assisting with the opening or closing of the clubhouse
- Familiarise and understand the menu and be able to describe the dishes on offer to the guest
- Liaising closely with chefs, kitchen staff and starter pavilion staff
- Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment at all times
- Identify unsafe areas and activities and report hazards immediately to the Duty Manager
- Undertake any mandatory training to meet company and UK legislated Health & Safety requirements
- Point of Sale and cash handling including tips reporting if cash in hand received
- Flexible and adaptable attitude

- Competent in time management and timekeeping
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Previous restaurant experience an asset but not essential
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Scotland (18)
- Working knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer can be an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours – mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends as required
Physical Demands
- Long periods of standing
- Busy environment with extended periods of interpersonal interaction
- Some lifting, bending and reaching may be required
Working hours
- Up to 40 hours per week (Full Time)
- Clubhouse opening hours depend on bookings on the day, but generally hours of clubhouse operation are from 7am until 9.00pm with occasional corporate dinners or special events until 10:00/10:30pm.
- Flexible working hours with both morning or dinner shifts available weekly.

Pay: From £13.45 per hour
