Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GDC Registered Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments.
- Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients, ensuring they understand their care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records efficiently.
- Ensure all dental equipment is sterilised and maintained according to health and safety standards.
- Support patients with their queries, offering reassurance and clear communication throughout their visit.
- Adhere to infection control protocols at all times to uphold hygiene standards within the practice.
- Manage appointment schedules, confirming bookings and organising follow-up visits as required.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards individuals of all ages.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care, including infection control procedures.
