Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated experienced Food Production Operatives to join our manufacturing team in our Fresh Meat Department. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of food products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food industry, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining high-quality output.
The Role:
- Ensure all procedures for quality, hygiene, housekeeping etc are strictly followed and issues reported.
- Ensure all quality and safety regimes are adhered to including testing, cleaning, pre start checks etc.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accordingly to agreed standards.
- To carry out production in an efficient manner according to the agreed schedules.
- Ability to work within a small team, working alongside the supervisor to produce high quality products.
- Operate and clean down machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Walk, bend and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Some heavy lifting may be involved.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a food factory production environment is essential
- Food industry experience essential with understanding of High Care operations
- Quality conscious with an awareness of Health & Safety
- Willingness to undertake further relevant training
- Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in the working environment
- High levels of motivation, drive and commitment
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Be available to work from Monday – Friday. Occasional Saturday if requested and desired
- Applicants must be enthusiastic, flexible and hard working to work effectively alongside our friendly team
- Have a positive “Can Do” attitude to everyday operations and continual improvement initiatives
