Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility specialising in senior and specialised care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of assisted living, dementia care, and patient management, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care services. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of medical and care practices, and the ability to manage a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The Registered Manager will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a positive environment for residents and staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are upheld at all times.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of healthcare professionals, including carers, nurses, and support staff, ensuring effective team management and development.
- Oversee daily operational activities within the facility, including resident care planning, medication administration, and case management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and industry standards.
- Develop personalised care programmes tailored to individual needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and support for individuals with disabilities.
- Coordinate with medical professionals for laboratory testing, medical imaging, and other specialised services as required.
- Manage resident admissions, discharge procedures, and maintain accurate documentation related to patient care.
- Organise staff training sessions on topics such as anatomy knowledge, medication administration, and caring for specific conditions like dementia or Toddler care.
- Foster a supportive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and quality of life for residents.
- Monitor operational budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with families or guardians to communicate resident progress and address concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care environments such as assisted living facilities or nursing homes.
- Extensive knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and managing individuals with disabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience in healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with case management practices and patient care protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical procedures including medication administration.
- Experience working with children or toddlers is advantageous but not essential.
- Competence in managing laboratory processes or medical imaging is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents’ families and multidisciplinary teams.
