We are currently hiring for a Proofer to join the Pre-Press team at the Amcor Flexibles site in Ledbury. The function for this role is mounting Flexographic printing plates, working to a daily production plan, ensuring all plates are laid accurately prior to production on Flexographic print presses whilst prioritising any issues that may arise on press.
Job Dimensions & Scope
Effectively follow the print plan, whilst maintaining accurate plate mounting, working alongside the print team in problem solving, ensuring that the plant is fully compliant to all H&S rules and all standards adhered to. Report all issues to the pre-press coordinator.
Working Hours: 06:55 - 19:00/18:55 - 07:00, Rotating 12 hour shift pattern. Weekends and night work included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain highest level of cleanliness and standards in the pre-press area (daily checklist).
- Ensure correct Plates and other consumables are always available.
- All H&S aspects are adhered to.
- Mounting plates for print jobs accurately using correct plates, sleeves and tapes.
- Correctly identify, record and report any plate damage.
- Strip plates without causing any damage to plates.
- Helping with proof problems on and off press as and when required.
- Assist with Plate cleaning and storage as/when required
Principal Accountabilities

· To take ownership and responsibility for ensuring mounted plates for jobs are ready and available on time
· Checking work instructions to ensure all parameters are correct for Print jobs before plate mounting.
· To ensure all necessary administration work is complete as per the instructions
· To adhere to all health and safety requirements
· To maintain all housekeeping duties within the pre press area
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

· Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be preferable

Pay: £27,794.16-£32,693.48 per year
