The Role
We are looking for an energetic, hands-on Duty Manager to lead daily operations across the farm park.
This is not a desk job. You will be active, outdoors, and right at the center of the action— rain or shine. As the senior manager on duty, you will keep the site running smoothly, motivate our team, manage busy crowds, and ensure every guest leaves with great memories.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Site Leadership
- Act as the lead manager on duty, overseeing daily park opening/closing procedures, site security, and operational readiness.
- Perform regular walk-throughs to ensure peak standards across all guest zones, play areas, catering outlets, and facilities.
- Respond immediately to operational challenges, guest queries, or staff needs across the park.
Team Coaching & Management
- Lead, inspire, and support a mixed team of permanent and seasonal staff across multiple operational departments.
- Conduct daily morning briefings to set clear expectations, assign rotas, and foster a positive, high-energy environment.
- Provide real-time coaching, constructive feedback, and training to maintain excellent service standards.
Visitor Experience & Safety
- Maintain strict standards for guest safety, site hygiene, and first-aid response, acting as a primary point of contact for incidents.
- Handle customer feedback on the spot with professionalism, empathy, and effective resolution.
- Ensure all health, safety, and operational regulations are strictly followed by staff and visitors.
Event Delivery & Operational Support
- Co-lead the operational setup, execution, and breakdown of major seasonal events (e.g., Easter, Summer Holidays, Pumpkin Festival at Halloween, and our amazing Christmas celebrations).
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to identify process improvements, manage resources efficiently, and continuously enhance the guest experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory, team leader, or duty management role within hospitality, visitor attractions, leisure, or fast-paced retail.
- Leadership Style: A visible, hands-on manager who leads from the front and motivates teams during high-volume periods.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working on your feet outdoors in all weather conditions and handling shifting priorities quickly.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong situational awareness, quick decision-making abilities, and a calm, approachable demeanor under pressure.
- Availability: Essential requirement to work weekends, bank holidays, and school holiday periods, as these are our peak operational times.
- Transport: Due to our rural location, a valid driving licence and access to reliable transport is strongly recommended.
