Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents within a care home setting, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and comfort. Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, respecting residents’ dignity and independence
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Organise and participate in activities that promote residents’ social engagement and wellbeing
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the care environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support residents with mobility needs, including driving or escorting them to appointments or outings when required
- Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or senior care environment is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating ability to oversee team members effectively
- Knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in elderly care
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting residents with outings or appointments

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
