Summary
We are looking for a fully competent, self-sufficient HGV Technician to join our Bardon based workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for inspections, MOT prep, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of units and trailers, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on all makes of HGVs and trailers to DVSA (VOSA) standards.
Diagnostics & Electrics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults utilizing dealer and third-party diagnostic equipment; interpret wiring diagrams and manuals.
Admin & Parts: Liaise with the workshop manager to secure correct components timely; ensure service sheets, and inspection sheets are completed clearly and accurately.
What You Bring to the Table;
Mechanical Knowledge: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) and/or Time-Served.
Work Ethic: Highly motivated with a can-do attitude to keep our fleet of vehicles on the road in a timely manner.
Self-Starter: Able to achieve your days work and manoeuvre vehicles in our yard. Class 1/2 preferred but not a requirement
Working hours;
2 shift weekly rotate between Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 22:30 and Saturdays 07:00 – 13:30
Pay: We offer an hourly rate between £23.00 and £28.00 depending on experience.
Experience:
HGV Mechanical: 3 years (preferred)
