Hotel Wroxham ~situated within a short drive from Norwich and directly accessible by train from Norwich. We are situated in the heart of Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads, overlooking the River. We are an independent family owned business with two Hotels in our portfolio. The stylish hotel has 18 bedrooms, a casual rosette restaurant serving British cuisine which is inspirational, local and all freshly prepared, a bar area and bar lounge, large outside terraces overlooking the river and two function rooms. We are proud of our achievemnets and we pride ourselves on our high standards of food, beverages and excellent delivery in all areas of the operation. The hotel has grown year on year and is probably one of the busiest hospitality businesses in Norfolk. We have a fantastic and loyal team who deliver the high standards and many have worked with us over many years and they all contribute to hotels success and continuing success.
Requirements for role of Duty Manager:
We would expect you to have a strong background in hospitality (hotel operations would be useful). We require a person with leadership skills with an ability to manage a diverse team, great observation skills, motivated and able to motivate and extremely reliable ~ all wrapped-up in a friendly personality!
Duties:
(This is a hands-on roll which is complex and diverse)
* Manage a FOH team (restaurant and bar), liase with reception, kitchen and housekeepers
* Motivate the team to maximise productivity and sales
* Supervise the daily operations of all departments
* Lead, motivate and train staff in all relevant areas, fostering and nurturing our team
* Handle guests inquiries, complaints and feedback
* Maintain the business standards and code of operations, implementing improvements when necessary
* Upholding health and safety standards and ensuring departments are compliant in line with company policy
* Assist management in costing and budgets and ensuring that departments are operated efficiently and effectively
