We are looking for a warm, motivated and clinically curious Optometrist to join our established practice in Heald Green, working two or three days per week.
Whether you are newly qualified, looking to broaden your clinical skills or are an experienced Optometrist searching for a more fulfilling independent environment, we would be pleased to hear from you.
About the Role
You will work with 40-minute testing times, giving you the opportunity to properly understand each patient, explain your findings and deliver the standard of care you would want for your own family.
You will have access to modern diagnostic equipment, including:
- OCT
- iCare tonometry
- Pulsair tonometry
- Fundus imaging
- Visual field testing
- Autorefractor and keratometer
- Further clinical technology being introduced shortly
You will be supported by an experienced and welcoming practice team, allowing you to concentrate on providing excellent clinical care while playing an important part in the continued development of the practice.
Develop Beyond Routine Optometry
This is an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist who wants to continue learning and expand their clinical offering.
We can provide training, mentoring and support in areas including:
- Dry eye assessment and management
- Myopia management
- OCT interpretation
- Enhanced clinical services
- Patient education and preventative eye care
Previous experience in these areas is not essential. What matters most is having the curiosity and ambition to develop.

Working Pattern
- Two or three days per week
- Based at our Heald Green practice
