As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the brigade while ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation are maintained at all times.
The hotel is open to considering a talented Sous Chef with a strong fresh food background who is ready to take the next step into their first Head Chef role, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to progress their career.
You will be passionate about seasonal produce, enjoy developing your team, and have the leadership skills required to run a successful and organised kitchen operation.
As Head Chef you will:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade on a daily basis
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and service
- Develop seasonal menus showcasing high-quality local produce
- Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost targets
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Ensure all food hygiene and health and safety procedures are followed
- Drive consistency, efficiency, and creativity throughout the kitchen
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background within quality hotels, restaurants, or gastro pubs and possess excellent organisational and leadership skills.
