Project Manager Opportunity London
Mivan is a dynamic and progressivespecialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation forexcellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced anddriven Project Manager to establish and successfully co-ordinate and manage thenecessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget andto the clients satisfaction.
Candidates should have extensiveproject management experience on new build and fit-out type projects, and athird level qualification in a related subject or experience in a similarProject Management role. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute withstrong leadership and people management skills and the ability to negotiate andinfluence.
Main duties will include:
- Develop a project plan and ensure thenecessary resources are organised to meet the plan. Continually monitorprogress and take all necessary steps to ensure the completion date is met.
- Develop a project budget and ensure theproject is delivered within that budget
- Ensure that all work is carried out tothe clients specifications and ensure that all those engaged on site haveup-to-date information and adhere to the project plan
- Ensure that the project resources i.e.staff, labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are effectively managed
- Liaise with clients and their agents toadvise on progress and problem resolution as required
- Ensure the Company Operations andSafety Management Procedures are implemented on the project
- Ensure site administration systems areset up to accurately record and document site records
- Ensure contractual conditions areadhered to and the contractual position is not compromised
- Establish clear targets, reportingprocesses and procedures so that all reporting functions are working toconsistent standards. Develop, maintain and measure staff performance againstthese targets
- Monitor the financial performance ofthe project using the Cost Value Report and take all necessary steps tominimise costs
- Proactively develop relationships withclients
- Proactively participate in valueengineering to maximise project contribution
- Ensure that a high standard of safetyis maintained throughout the project and that all relevant environmental andhealth & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Extensive project management experience on new buildand fit-out type projects
- Excellent leadership, organising and communicationskills
- Third level qualification in a related subject orexperience in a similar Project Management role
- Ability to plan ahead and organise workload
- Sound commercial acumen, cost awareness and IT skills
- Ability to build and promote successful customerrelationships
- Willing to travel as extensive travel throughout theUK will be required
