What you would be doing :
The Junior Marketing Coordinator will provide day-to-day support across the Marketing department. Working closely with the marketing team, you will support the planning and implementation of influencer and digital content, coordinate products and campaign requirements, and maintain regular communication with Makita UK’s influencer network.
Alongside this core responsibility, the role will provide wider support across the marketing campaigns.
Influencers:
● Act as a key day-to-day contact for Makita UK’s influencer network.
● Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing influencers and content creators.
● Proactively research and identify new influencers, creators and trade professionals who align with Makita UK’s brand and target audiences.
● Support the outreach, communication and onboarding process for new influencers.
● Maintain regular communication with influencers regarding upcoming campaigns, product launches and content opportunities.
● Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to coordinate influencer involvement within the wider content plan.
● Communicate content requirements, briefs, deadlines and campaign expectations to influencers.
● Coordinate products required for influencer activity, including product seeding, loans and campaign-specific requirements.
● Track agreed influencer content and deliverables to ensure activity is completed within required timescales.
● Maintain accurate records of influencer relationships, agreements, products supplied and content activity.
● Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and increase influencer participation across Makita UK campaigns.
● Report on influencer activity and performance.
Digital Marketing:
● Work closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinators to support the planning and implementation of digital content.
● Assist with coordinating content requirements for social media campaigns and product launches.
● Support the organisation of influencer-generated content for use across Makita UK channels.
● Assist with content shoots and digital campaigns where required.
● Research social media trends, creators and potential content opportunities relevant to Makita UK.
● Assist with maintaining digital content plans, schedules and campaign trackers.
Marketing:
● Provide day-to-day support to the Marketing Executive and wider Marketing team.
● Assist with the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions.
● Support new product launches and associated marketing activity.
● Coordinate information, products and assets required for marketing campaigns.
● Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers where required.
● Support wider departmental projects and marketing initiatives.
Promotional Materials:
● Assist with the management of promotional products, giveaway items and marketing literature.
● Monitor promotional material stock levels and assist with replenishment.
● Coordinate promotional materials required for campaigns, influencers, dealers and events.
● Arrange the distribution of promotional materials when required.
● Support the development and sourcing of new merchandise and promotional opportunities.
Events / Trade Shows:
● Support the Events Coordinators with the preparation and delivery of trade shows, regional events and other Makita UK events.
● Assist with preparing products, promotional materials and marketing assets for events.
● Assist with coordinating influencer attendance and content opportunities at events.
● Support post-event activity and administration where required.
Product Samples & Marketing Logistics:
● Coordinate products required for influencer, digital and wider marketing activity.
● Process and track influencer product requests, product seeding and product loans.
● Assist with media product loan requests.
● Maintain accurate records of products supplied, loan periods and returns.
● Coordinate product deliveries and collections where required.
● Liaise with relevant internal departments regarding product availability and requirements.
● Support the organisation of product samples for marketing campaigns, content shoots and events.
Marketing Administration:
● Provide general administrative support across the Marketing department.
● Maintain influencer databases, campaign trackers and marketing records.
● Assist with purchase orders, invoices and supplier administration where required.
● Coordinate meetings, documentation and follow-up actions.
● Maintain organised records of marketing activity and assets.
● Support reporting across influencer, digital and wider marketing activity.
● Assist members of the Marketing team with additional projects and activities when required.
What we are looking for :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with influencers, content creators, colleagues, and external partners.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects, deadlines, product requests, and marketing activities simultaneously.
- Passion for social media, digital marketing, and influencer engagement, with an understanding of current trends and content platforms.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to identify new influencer opportunities and contribute ideas to marketing campaigns.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping, campaign tracking, product management, and administrative support.
- Strong team-working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, digital, events, and other internal departments.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to maintain databases and campaign trackers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and supporting multiple marketing initiatives.
- Creative mindset with commercial awareness, understanding how influencer and digital marketing activities support brand engagement and business objectives.
- Professional and customer-focused attitude, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service and support.
- Previous experience in marketing, social media, events, PR, or influencer management.
- Knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Experience coordinating campaigns, products, samples, or promotional materials.
- Interest in tools, construction, DIY, or trade-related industries would be advantageous
