Nursery Chef
Job Description
Are you passionate about healthy eating and cooking for young children?
We are looking for a Nursery Chef to join our friendly team at Little Willows Day Nursery Bath
You be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks each day for around 45 to 50 children, supporting their wellbeing and growth. This is a rewarding , hands-on role for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in their kitchen, and understands the importance of food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare balanced lunches, teas and snacks for children aged 3 months to 4 years.
Create and manage menus that cater for allergies and dietary requirements
Order and manage weekly food supplies with a set budget.
Maintain our 5-star food hygiene rating and kitchen cleanliness.
Support and promote healthy eating across the nursey.
Communicate effectively with management team and follow company policies.
Job Requirements
Level 2 or above food hygiene or equivalent
Experience ideally within a child care setting/nursery or school kitchen preferred.
Strong understanding of allergies and food intolerances (essential)
Friendly, kind and professional approach.
Minimum 1 year of food preparation experience (preferred)
DBS – required at employment stage. Covered by employer
Hours Of Work
full Time , Permanent (40 hours)
Monday to Friday 8.30AM- 5PM (All Year Round)
