Main Duties
⪠To assist the Linen keeper
⪠To ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and is good condition, ensuring personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our guests.
⪠To sign yourself on-duty, collecting work allocations and signing for any keys or that maybe required prior to commencing your shift.
⪠To maintain all of the floor storage and public areas to the required standards.
⪠To receive clean linen separate and count.
⪠To deliver all clean Linen to the floors.
⪠To separate all dirty linen.
⪠To count all dirty linen.
⪠To keep an accurate daily dirty linen report.
⪠To fill accurately daily laundry report book.
⪠To follow procedures for damaged linen.
⪠To follow procedures.
⪠To discard all damage linens and sources alternative uses with the Laundry Manager
General
⪠Comply with the hotel Dress and Grooming Standards; live the Hotel’s Mission, Values & Essentials; exemplify the 5 M’s ‘My Colleagues’ and ‘My Guest’ behaviours and values in their interaction with colleagues and guests throughout the hotel.
⪠Comply with the Hotel’s professional codes of conduct, general rules and procedures.
⪠Comply with the Hotel’s general policy requirements: Health & Safety; Fire & Emergency; Bomb Threat; Lost Property.
⪠Remain vigilant to potential risks and threats (of whatever nature) during passage round the building. Liaise with appropriate colleagues (Security, Engineering etc.) to minimise the impact of such risks.
⪠Ensure and maintain the security and confidentiality of information relating to guest / colleague data held within the hotel. Re-direct ‘press’ calls at all times to the Sales and Marketing department and do not disclose any data to outside sources.
