Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with food and beverage service, ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience. A strong understanding of culinary practices and food safety is essential, as well as the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using basic maths skills to ensure correct billing.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation in the kitchen when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Provide recommendations on menu items to enhance guest satisfaction through effective upselling techniques.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of dishes served.
- Maintain an organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or guest services role for at least 3 years is required.
- Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment is essential.
