Edge45, a digital marketing agency in the heart of York, is seeking a content creator and copywriter to join our content team. You will be a natural storyteller with an eye for detail and experience creating copy that sells. We are an SEO agency, so some knowledge of the ever-evolving search landscape is useful.
This will be an office based role in York centre with the potential to move to 3 days in, 2 days home working after probation is passed.
Experience required:
- 2-3 years working with an agency or client on copywriting.
- Good SEO content knowledge
- Experience in other areas such as email marketing, social media, video creation or PR campaigns.
What you need to be able to do:
- Provide clean, concise copy for a variety of sectors
- Storytelling ability to bring copy to life and help boost engagement and conversions.
- Work independently to ensure sure content is optimised for search
- Create briefs for clients covering everything from tone of voice to user intent
- Understand different content needs across different industries and business types (B2B, B2C, SAAS)
- Understand how the content sits within a webpage and other assets that could be used to make content excel such as graphics, navigation, video, imagery, CTAs
- Carry out keyword research for each article to make sure we are targeting the correct search terms
- Consider the wider picture with Google such as EEAT, HCU, engagement, relevancy etc.
- Consider the commercial aspects of content creation – hours, budget, value to client etc.
- Have an eye for design and visuals to complement copy or for social media
- Be able to use or be familiar with: Canva, Figma, WordPress, Google Analytics

We are a fast-growing agency. While you will be expected to be in the office during your probation period, we do offer the option of working from home for certain days once probation is passed.
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
