Commercial Funding Manager
Location: Peterborough (Office Based)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per year
Bonus: Performance-based (OTE £70,000 – £90,000+)

Job Overview
Trade Mastermind is recruiting a Commercial Funding Manager to manage the post-sale funding process and drive fast, efficient cash conversion.
You will be responsible for taking signed customer contracts and ensuring funding is approved, drawn down, and paid to the business as quickly as possible. This role focuses on business lending, broker management, documentation, and cash collection.
This is a commercial, performance-driven role with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer funding cases from contract signature to cash received
- Drive funding approvals, drawdowns, and settlements
- Select and manage appropriate funding routes:
- Business Loans (primary
- iWalker
- Premium Credit
- MRR (last resort)
- Liaise with approved third-party brokers and lenders
- Chase applications, remove blockers, and resolve delays
- Collect and validate all required documentation (accounts, ID, KYC)
- Ensure cases meet lender criteria and compliance standards
- Monitor and improve time-to-cash and cash collected per customer
- Reduce reliance on high-cost or margin-impacting funding options
- Identify and implement process improvements
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in commercial finance, funding operations, or brokerage support
- Strong understanding of business lending products and lender criteria
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, and funding documentation requirements
- Experience working with brokers and lenders
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Confident communicator able to chase and challenge stakeholders
- Comfortable working to targets and performance metrics
