Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Bar Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment, providing excellent service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position is fully paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately using efficient serving techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible service of alcohol
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with inventory control
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including food safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing stock levels
- Knowledge of food safety procedures is desirable but can be learned on the job
- Strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
