At Alpha Fire Alarms, we’re recruiting a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our team across the Southeast/London area.
This role focuses on the installation and delivery of fully compliant fire alarm and life safety systems across a variety of commercial and retail projects. The position suits a technically strong engineer with excellent problem-solving ability, strong communication skills, and experience working across fire detection systems within a range of environments.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

Carrying out installation and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems across a range of sites, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, within agreed timescales and in line with specifications

Identifying and resolving issues efficiently, reporting any deviations between installation and specification to supervisors or management, and ensuring minimal disruption to clients

Completing all documentation accurately and on time, including site paperwork, timesheets, and expenses, while promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety on site

Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional company image while working across commercial and retail environments
Can you show experience in some of these areas?

Experience with conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems, with a strong understanding of BS 5839-1 & 6 and relevant industry experience (1–3 years minimum), with a proactive and flexible approach

Knowledge of air sampling systems such as Vesda or Wagner and experience working with fire alarm software such as Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Notifier, or Gent

Experience in fire alarm installation within commercial and retail environments, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away when required, with strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills, alongside excellent communication and customer-facing skills
