Department of Computing is looking to recruit a proactive and competent Taught Programmes Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and admissions support to ensure the efficient delivery of the Joint Maths and Compute Science (JMC), MRes and MSc programmes.
The postholder will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support for all stakeholders of the Teaching Support Office. Working closely with the Admissions Tutors, the postholder will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of undergraduate Joint Mathematics and Computer Science degree, and supporting MRes and MSc admissions.
Some of your duties will include, but are not limited to, providing administrative support for undergraduate, MSc and MRes admissions processes, responding to applicant and student enquiries, coordinating interviews, open days and offer holder events, and maintaining accurate admissions and student records.
You would also support programme administration by acting as a first point of contact for students and staff, organising term arrangements, managing communications, and liaising with various university departments.
In addition, you would assist with examinations administration, including exam scheduling, preparation of materials, room arrangements, invigilator coordination, and supporting examination board meetings, while ensuring all processes follow university policies and deadlines.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, customer service and IT skills, with the ability to manage confidential information accurately and work effectively under pressure. You should be able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and demonstrate initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience with admissions, examinations processes, Virtual Learning Environments, and Microsoft Office systems would be advantageous
