Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specialised welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the assembly and construction of metal components. Duties
- Execute TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metal components, primarily focusing on welding specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to assemble sheet metal parts accurately.
- Perform cutting, shaping, and joining of materials to meet project specifications.
- Assist in the fabrication of metal structures, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure precise assembly.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or components during production.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations.
- Support team members in completing projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a solid understanding of welding techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in metalworking.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Experience working with various materials including sheet metal and structural components.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.

Monday to Thursday 08.30am to 4.30pm
Friday 08.30am to 3.30pm.
