We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Hair and Beauty Tutor to join our educational team. Duties
- Deliver engaging lessons on various hairdressing and beauty techniques in accordance with curriculum standards
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and practical demonstrations to facilitate effective learning
- Assess student progress through practical assessments and written evaluations
- Provide personalised feedback and support to help students improve their skills
- Maintain a safe and organised learning environment, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into training sessions
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new course content and improve existing programmes
- Support students in preparing for industry qualifications and employment opportunities
Skills
- Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple classes and administrative tasks effectively
- Experience in teaching or training within the hairdressing or beauty sector is highly desirable
- Good IT skills for creating digital content, managing records, and utilising online learning platforms
- Knowledge of plumbing is a nice-to-have for certain specialised beauty treatments involving water or drainage systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learner needs and skill levels
