An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced MSK clinician to join our existing MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient department in Southampton. The team form part of a larger MSK service which takes pride in delivering high quality care and rehabilitation to the residents of Southampton, Portsmouth, IOW and Hampshire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills. This role is based in Southampton where clinics run across a variety of locations within the city, including the Adelaide Health Centre, Bitterne Health Centre and the Stoneham Centre (Moorgreen Hospital). You will be working with a diverse population and exposed to a wide variety of MSK conditions within your caseload.
The MSK team is committed to continued professional development & promote evidence-based practise to ensure a high standard of care throughout the service. Main duties, tasks & skills required
Undertakes highly skilled musculoskeletal assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulates a diagnosis and treatment plan which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.
Takes a role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of senior, junior and rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapy students and other members of the multi disciplinary team.
Deputises for Team Leader as required.
Active involvement in service development for the department, Trust and profession.
Complete tasks assigned/delegated by team lead in a timely and professional manner.
Supervises, initiates and participates in evidence based projects, assists in implementing changes within designated team/area and setting and monitoring standards of practice.
