Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Chef to join us to support a private hospital. This role is ideal for passionate food enthusiasts who enjoy preparing and serving high-quality meals in a vibrant environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring all menus are followed for dietary requirements. The work is for every weekend, on going
Hours
8am till 530pm both Saturday and Sunday
Due to location it is ideal to drive.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to menu specifications and customer preferences
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout service
- Serve dishes efficiently and courteously to guests, providing excellent customer service
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure the availability of ingredients
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in dish quality
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and presentation
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Flexibility to work weekends, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
