Join us as a Senior Project Manager in the Grid Technologies Substations division, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of key substation projects. Imagine leading large-scale energy infrastructure projects from initiation to handover, while managing comprehensive project lifecycle, financial oversight, and strategic stakeholder leadership. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, while also navigating complex challenges to keep the project on track. Your leadership will guide multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that every aspect of the project aligns with our commitment to excellence and innovation in the energy sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale substation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards within a Zero Harm Culture.

Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedules, and resource requirements, aligned with PMI methodologies.

Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while reporting regularly to senior leadership.

Act as the primary interface for all project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on project goals.

Mentor and manage a multi-disciplinary project team, cultivating a culture of high performance and accountability.
What You Bring
-
Core competencies include project planning and scheduling, contract administration, risk & opportunity management, financial control, stakeholder management, procurement, change management, team leadership/development, and health, safety, and quality management.

Extensive experience delivering infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects under NEC contract frameworks, including NEC3 and NEC4 or similar. Skilled in managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial planning through engineering, procurement, site erection, commissioning, and close-out, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, programme requirements, and budget constraints.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) managing large-scale, complex technical projects, preferably in the energy or heavy infrastructure sectors.

Primavera P6 Planning & Scheduling experience.

Proven expertise in project planning, financial control, and risk management, with a track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or APM qualification.

Strong skills in project management methodologies, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
