Senior Java developer required for one of our pretigious project. This exciting position will appeal to an Engineer who enjoys problem solving and working with clients to understand business requirements when needed.
You'll join a small innovations team working on pioneering research, prototyping ideas. Design, development and some architecture of networked software applications. Gathering user requirements. Delivery and support of software services. To be considered you'll be degree educated and be comfortable with Java J2EE, networked applications and Agile development.
You will need the following skills and commercial experience to be suitable for this position:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional IT related experience on Java
- Competence in Java/J2EE, JDBC, Spring Framework, Servlets, Struts
- Eclipse 3.7, JDeveloper 11.6.1.1, Mule Studio CE
- Database: Oracle 10g, 9i, SQL, Oracle Toad 9.0
- Competence in Object Oriented design and development techniques
- Competence in UML - Sequence diagrams, Class diagrams, etc
- Competence in Unit testing using jUnit or similar
- Competence in XML / XSLT, XQuery
- Microsoft VSS 6.0, Perforce, HP-Quality Centre
- Working Knowledge in Clearcase & BuildForge
- Working Knowledge in requirements analysis or business analysis techniques
- Working knowledge in Hibernate of similar ORM
- Working knowledge in CSS, JQuery, Java scripting
