The employment team is looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor (3+ years PQE) to join our award-winning firm, ranked in The Legal 500 directory. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially minded solicitor to play a key role within our dynamic Employment Department, handling a broad spectrum of matters for both employers and employees while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert, strategic advice to both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters.
- Provide advice to employees on settlement agreements, including negotiating more favourable terms where appropriate.
- Provide advice to employers who subscribe to the company’s retainer scheme on a broad range of employment law issues affecting small to medium sized employers.
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks.
- Act for both employees and employers in Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination (sex, race, disability), whistleblowing and breach of contract claims. This includes preparing ET1/ET3 responses, witness statements, and bundles of documents.
- Provide advice on TUPE matters, redundancy exercises, and business reorganisations.
- Advise on the enforceability of restrictive covenants, senior exits, breaches of confidentiality
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a high standard of client care.
- Collaborate with team members on complex or high-value or complex matters and contribute to case strategy.
- Play an active role in business development, including networking, client training, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong experience managing complex Employment Tribunal litigation independently.
- Excellent technical knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedures.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
- Experience advising both employers and employees is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
- A proactive approach to business development and building client relationships.
