Job Summary
Are you an experienced driver who loves customer service and making a real difference in people’s lives?
We are looking for a reliable, calm, and empathetic Accessible Van Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll be much more than just a driver—you'll be an essential part of our guests' holiday experience, helping them explore wonderful day trip destinations and exciting 5-day tours across the U and close-by Europe.
Because our tours run seasonally and on-demand, this is a zero-hours contract, offering great flexibility for someone looking for adaptable, rewarding work.
Duties
- Safely operate a manual transmission accessible van to transport clients to designated locations(wheelchair accessible)
- Providing a warm, patient, and welcoming environment for all passengers.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times also safely securing wheelchairs/mobility equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and accessibility features
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and dispatch to coordinate schedules and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or mobility aids, performing heavy lifting when necessary
- Staying away on supported 5-day UK tours (accommodation/expenses provided).
Skills
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on safety and punctuality
- Valid manual driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of driving regulations specific to accessible vehicles and manual transmissions(2 years of experience driving a van.)
- A calm, empathetic, and friendly personality with exceptional patience.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing schedules or routes
- Should be flexible and available at short notice, also Available to travel and stay away for up to 5 days at a time for UK tours or close-by Europe
- Valid Manual Handling Training (or a genuine willingness to complete this training before you start).
