Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable HGV Class 2 Night Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver goods efficiently and safely during night shifts, ensuring timely service for our clients. As a key member of our transportation operations, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle, primarily focusing on curtainside deliveries, while adhering to all safety and compliance standards. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle, with a focus on curtainside deliveries across designated routes during night shifts
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain optimal safety standards
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedule deadlines and optimize fuel efficiency
- Communicate professionally with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness at all times
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar vehicles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for heavy goods vehicles
- Experience in handling flatbed loads and securing cargo effectively during transit
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with delivery routes during night hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads as required
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally

This is an agency position, but we have regular work, from this contract.
