Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. Duties
- Install new roofs using a variety of materials such as tiles, shingles, and metal sheets
- Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure durability and safety
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required for customised roofing solutions
- Assist with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other construction tasks related to roofing projects
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, shingles, or metal sheets to facilitate installation or repairs
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and organise tools and materials for efficient workflow
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing or general construction work is essential
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of roofing systems including installation methods for various materials
- Experience with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or related trades is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights comfortably
- Prior experience working with construction safety protocols is highly desirable
