Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with expertise in MIG welding and sheet metal work. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Conduct fabrication tasks including the assembly of metal structures and components.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, applying mechanical knowledge as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG welding, with a solid understanding of various welding techniques.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes, sheet metal work, and assembly practices.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; we value skill development and training opportunities for the right candidate.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
