Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our client based in Belfast. This is a varied role combining local delivery driving with stores and warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being both on the road and working as part of a busy team.
When not carrying out deliveries, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the stores department, ensuring stock is organised and goods are prepared efficiently.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Delivering goods safely and professionally using a company van.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Assisting with goods in and goods out.
- Picking and preparing customer orders.
- Organising and maintaining stock within the stores area.
- Carrying out general warehouse and stores duties.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Experience working within a warehouse or stores environment.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist wherever required.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential, as training may be provided.
