About the Role
Brocton Hall Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and customer-focused Bar Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of our clubhouse bar.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideally suited to someone with previous supervisory experience within the hospitality industry who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service whilst maintaining the highest standards of presentation, professionalism and efficiency.
Working alongside the management team, you will play a key role in ensuring our members, guests and visitors enjoy a welcoming and memorable experience every time they visit the Club.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver a warm, friendly and professional service to members, guests and visitors at all times.
- Build positive relationships with members and regular customers.
- Deal with customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Lead by example, maintaining a visible presence within the clubhouse.
Bar Operations
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the clubhouse bar.
- Supervise and motivate the bar team during shifts, ensuring consistently high service standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing legislation, food hygiene regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the clubhouse.
Cellar & Stock Management
- Assist with cellar management, including line cleaning and maintaining excellent cellar standards.
- Monitor stock levels, placing orders as required.
- Receive deliveries and ensure correct storage and stock rotation.
- Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stocktakes.
- Minimise wastage and report any discrepancies promptly.
Events & Functions
- Assist with the delivery of club competitions, society days, private functions and special events.
- Support the induction and training of new team members.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure consistently high standards across all hospitality operations.
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
- A minimum of three years' experience within the hospitality industry.
- Three years' supervisory experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel or golf club environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous cellar management and line cleaning experience (or a willingness to learn).
- Strong organisational and stock management skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- A positive, reliable and flexible attitude.
- Golf club hospitality experience would be advantageous.
- A Personal Licence would be desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
